The Space Heater 500 is an analog tube saturation and distortion module for use with the Radial Workhorse or any 500 series rack, with an oversized output transformer and vacuum tube drive circuit for vintage warmth and character. A three-position heat switch provides the ability to adjust the voltage on the 12AX7 tube - lower voltage settings starve the tube for a more pronounced distortion effect. Separate Drive and Level controls give you complete control over the tube circuit, providing a range of tones that allow you to fatten up digital stems or provide a distorted effect on vocals, guitars or drums. The Space Heater 500 also features sweepable high-pass and low-pass filters that can be assigned 'pre or post' tube, allowing you to focus the tube effect on a particular frequency band or cause the tube to react in a different way.

The Komit is a streamlined dynamics processor that that combines a super-clean compressor circuit with an old school diode-bridge clipping limiter, for creative tone shaping with maximum flexibility.

The Komit provides superior dynamics control that one would expect from a studio grade compressor/limiter, along with vintage character and tone to help your tracks stand out in the mix. A transparent VCA compressor is easily configured with a three-position switch to set the speed of the attack & release times, a variable compression ratio, and a makeup gain control. This is augmented with an old school diode-bridge clipping limiter, with ten settings that increasingly clip the input signal for results that range from subtle analog clipping to over-the-top distortion. The limiter can also be set for brick wall operation to prevent overloading digital recorder inputs, and both the inputs and outputs feature vintage style Hammond broadcast transformers add extra warmth to the signal path.

The JDX-500 makes it easy to get a consistent and natural sounding amp recording by taking a feed directly from your amplifier and employing Radial's popular JDX speaker emulation, producing an effect similar to placing a dynamic microphone in front of a 4x12 half stack cabinet. This gives you the same tone for every recording session, without forcing you to rely on the same microphones to be available, or spending valuable studio time fiddling with mic placement to match previous recordings. The JDX-500 delivers the sound of your amp without any fuss, simplifying your recording setup without sacrificing on tone.
