An Ehrlund Microphone is a new tool in your toolkit, a tool you’ve never had before and you can now build things you haven’t built before. Ehrlund Microphones are the invention of Göran Ehrlund – based in the middle of Sweden, distributed all over the world.

The EHR-H is a handheld condenser microphone that is optimised for live performances. The core of its ability to reproduce sound is the same as in all our microphones: A unique triangular Ehrlund membrane combined with our patented phase and frequency linear electronics. The result is the same pure and clean sound image Ehrlund microphones are known for. The triangular shape of the Ehrlund membrane dampens resonance faster than a traditional round or even square membrane. The positive effects of this construction design are unparalleled. Sharp tones sound more natural, the intricate resolution of sound-waves travelling along a triangular surface allows complex signals to be reproduced in their natural form. This signal then gets amplified by our nearly noise-free amplification electronics and the result is a sound very transparent and real, without altering the phase or frequency or adding unnecessary amounts of noise. Since the microphone has such a clean and natural sound, it is suitable for both live and studio applications. The broad and even frequency characteristics mean that faders on mixing consoles can be left in their neutral positions, with almost no need for any additional audio compensation.

Ehrlund-D condenser mic for Drums, Guitars and Horns
EHR-D

EHR-D is a mic special designed for Drums, but many engineers is using it for Guitars and Horns as well.

It can handle way more SPL then th EHR-M and the houseing is made for rough live in the road.

It has more background dampening and and is not as wide as EHR-E, this to isolate drum to drum leakage.

EHR-E is a light studio-microphone that can handle very high sounds. It is -12 to -15 db less sensitive then EHR-M.

Due to its small format its very versatile in usage and is great for Over Head, Electrc Guitars, Horns, Toms, Snare, Vocals.

Ehrlund-M studio condenser for vocal and music

The EHR-M is a Swedish manufactured condenser microphone for studio use, designed for music and song recording. Its patented triangular capsule design has been allied to a very low noise and low power phantom feed amplifier. It has been designed to deliver the cleanest sound possible. This enables complex signals to be reproduced in their original form. The sound becomes transparent and relaxed.

The microphone has broad and smooth pickup characteristics, with deep bass and extended treble. This microphone has among the lowest self-induced noise and highest sensitivity on the market. The output signal is so strong that you do not need a separate microphone amplifier.

Ehrlund-T double version of Ehrlund-M, dual capsule

A double version of the EHR-M microphone and one of the few double mics on the market.

EHR-T has the same broad recording characteristics as the EHR-M. The EHR-T gives you almost total flexibility at the mixer table. With two separate outputs per microphone, you can mix signals from the two sides of the mic and adjust the sound pickup characteristics afterwards.

Ehrlund-M1 small sized condenser for choirs, strings

The EHR-M1 is a miniature of the classical EHR-M

The Mini M has broad and smooth pickup characteristics, with deep bass and extended highs. It has some of the lowest self-induced noise and highest sensitivity on the market.

Due to the small size but big sound this mic is perfect for choirs and orchestras, horn sections and strings. It has become a favorite among radio hosts as well. The Ehrlund Acoustic Pickup (EAP) is a linear pickup microphone intended primarily for acoustic string instruments such as guitar, violin, double bass and cello. It can, however, also be used for percussion or other instruments that vibrate or resonate. A linear microphone means the pickup reproduces a flat frequency response and does not alter or “colour” the sound of the recording or output at all. The EAP captures the vibrations in the acoustic instrument, which enables the microphone to deliver very good separation even in normally “impossible” environments where the other musicians are generating high sound levels on their respective instruments. We strongly recommend you combine the EAP with a preamplifier that has a phase and frequency linear response to get the most out of your pickup – Ehrlund Preamplifiers are optimized for this.

A linear contact microphone for instruments with an acoustic sound box
The Ehrlund Acoustic Pickup (EAP) is a linear contact microphone for instruments with an acoustic sound box such as the guitar, violin and double bass.
A linear microphone means the pickup reproduces a flat frequency response. The EAP Pickup captures the vibrations in the acoustic instrument, which enables the microphone to deliver very good separation even in normally “impossible” environments where the other musicians are generating high sound levels on their respective instruments.
Every instrument is unique and finding the right location for the best sound is a matter of trial and error. The EAP Pickup is easy to move around between different instruments.It is simple to attach to the sound box with adhesive putty. You can even mount the pickup on the inside of the instrument through the sound hole.
PREAMP
The Ehrlund Preamp has extremely low self-noise and low power consumption. It is optimized for use together with the EAP Pickup. It has the power to drive most accessories arising, such as foot pedals, effects pedals and Di-boxes with transformers.
The preamp comes with belt clips for easy attachment to the waistband. It is powered by a 9-volt battery, has an extended operating life of 600 hours and disconnects itself when the output cable is unplugged. The preamp has adjustable volume control, high/low-level switch and phase switch to avoid acoustic feedback during live performances.
