Mikrofonkapslar

DPA 2006 Mikrofonkapsel, Omni
MMC2006

Twin Diaphragm Capsule technology

The overall distinctive sound image from the DPA miniatures is so well balanced that it meets the high demands of the DPA Reference Standard league.

In an MMC2006 capsule two opposite facing miniature capsules are custom re-built into a double diaphragm, one-capsule composition. This combines the advantages of small capsules (fast impulse response and large frequency bandwidth) with lower inherent noise achieved from a larger diaphragm area.

The capsules are loaded to the supreme Reference Standard preamps instead of the tiny miniature FET preamp from the miniature mics, offering even more air and precision.

Comparison with its big brother, the iconic 4006, is inevitable. The relationship between the two is clearly heard; the 2000 series simply performs like much more exclusive microphones from the premium class and redefines the term value for money.

Modular upgradability

The MMC2006 capsule is part of the flexible DPA Reference Standard series. The 2006A with the MMP-A preamplifier is the audiophile’s choice with low distortion and total accurate and faithful sound, where the 2006C MMP-C compact preamplifier offers a subtle character alteration with a bit more “body” to the low end – in addition to its easier-to-position approach.

DPA 2011 Mikrofonkapsel, Cardioid
MMC2011
MMC2011 Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Pencil Microphone Capsule
The MMC2011 Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Microphone Capsule is a directional mic capsule. The distinctive sound of this microphone is well balanced. This capsule bridges the gap between the extreme sound quality of the Pencil Microphones series and our well-known Miniature Microphones in the Lavalier and Headset series.
Inside this capsule, two opposite-facing miniature capsules are custom rebuilt. They are placed into a double-diaphragm, one-capsule composition. This combines the advantages of small capsules with the lower inherent noise achieved from a larger diaphragm area. These capsules provide fast impulse response and large frequency bandwidth.
The capsules are loaded to the supreme Pencil Microphone series preamplifiers instead of the tiny miniature FET ones. This gives the sound more air and precision.
Comparisons with its big brother, the iconic MMC4011 capsule, are inevitable. The relationship between the two can be clearly heard. The MMC2000 series performs as well as more exclusive microphones. It is a premium-class mic capsule and redefines the term value for money.

A truly flexible range
The MMC2011 capsule is part of the flexible Pencil Microphone series. The MMC2011A, with the MMP-A preamplifier, is the audiophile’s choice. It provides low distortion and accurate sound. The MMC2011C, with the MMP-C compact preamplifier, offers a subtle character alteration with a bit more 'body' to the low end. The MMC2011C is also easier to position due to its small size.
DPA 4006 Mikrofonkapsel, Omni
MMC4006

Modular flexibility

The MMC4006 capsule is part of the flexible DPA Reference Standard series.

The 4006A with the MMP-A preamplifier is a legendary recording classic with natural tone and dynamics, where the 4011C with the MMP-C compact preamplifier provides neutral sonic and visual design for reproducing acoustic environments.

Several tools in one

A wide selection of acoustic modification accessories, including nose cone and interchangeable protection grids, allows the MMC4006 capsule to be acoustically transformed into seven different microphone versions, making it the most multifaceted mic in your collection and a tremendous value.

By simply changing a grid or mounting an element over the capsule, it is possible to gain several unique frequency responses and directional characteristics from a single mic.

Furthermore, these grids and elements will not produce any phase shift, noise or distortion that would otherwise be introduced by an electrical filter.

DPA 4011 Mikrofonkapsel, Cardioid
MMC4011

Reference in extreme sound level handling

The MMC4011 capsule is part of the flexible DPA Reference Standard series.

The 4011A with the MMP-A preamplifier is the worldwide reference standard for extreme sound level handling, where the 4011C with the MMP-C compact preamplifier is excellent for compact and precise close-miking of the majority of instruments.

The principal appeal of the cardioid MMC4011 capsule is its directional quality and attention to detail: everything sounds like the original.

The first-order cardioid pickup pattern provides superb separation between sound sources when used as a spot mic on literally any style of live music, from rock ‘n’ roll to opera.

DPA 4015 Mikrofonkapsel, Wide Cardioid
MMC4015

Modular flexibility

The MMC4015 capsule is part of the flexible DPA Reference Standard series.

The 4015A with the MMP-A preamplifier suits acoustic instruments and voices with rich and open sound, where the 4015C with the MMP-C compact preamplifier is an excellent spot mic as a fill-in between an omni and a cardioid – and easier to position.

Expand your horizon with a wider pattern

If you are already a DPA 4011 devotee, you will discover an exciting alternative in our wide cardioid microphones.

The MMC4015 wide cardioid capsule differs in its polar pattern and is the perfect fill-in between an omni and a more directional microphone.

Sometimes a conventional cardioid pattern just isn’t quite open enough, such as when recording instruments with complex radiation patterns. In those instances, the generous polar pattern of our wide cardioids allows you to pick up a broader sound field and more accurately capture the full breadth of a stirring performance.

DPA 4017 Mikrofonkapsel, Shotgun
MMC4017

MMC4017 Shotgun Microphone Capsule

The MMC4017 capsule is part of the flexible DPA Reference Standard series.

Equipped with a highly directional supercardioid pickup pattern, obtained using a supercardioid design with an interference tube that provides excellent off-axis rejection, the DPA 4017B combined with the MMP-B preamplifier is a short and exceptionally lightweight shotgun microphone that truly measures up to DPA’s impressive reputation for accuracy, clarity, and musicality.

Designed for a broad range of applications, the 4017B is ideal for use with camera systems, in fixed positions at sports facilities, for broadcast/ENG/film booming, and even studio recording environments.

Tune out the surroundings

Extensive research and development has been undertaken to optimize the sound coming from the sides and behind the microphone.

Minimizing the often very un-linear response of a shotgun microphone due to its side lobes is one of the key accomplishments of the MMC4017.

The condenser capsule uses a high voltage pre-polarized back plate, endowing the shotgun with high output as well as wide dynamics, extremely low noise and distortion specifications.

DPA MMC4041 Stormembranskapsel för MMP4000
MMC4041
The Type MMC4041 large diaphragm omnidirectional microphone cartridge is a part of our modular microphone system and can be used with the Modular Microphone Preamplifiers Type MMP4000-S (Solid State), MMP4000-T (Tube) and MMP4000-SP (Solid State Phantom Power).

The diaphragm and the housing are both made from stainless steel , which gives the capsule a unique immunity against ambient temperature variations.

The precision-made back plate is placed in a quartz insulator for maximum electrical stability and is polarised with 190V via the HMA5000 Microphone Amplifier giving the MMC4041 a unique sensitivity of up to 90mV/Pa.

The frequency response from 10Hz to 20kHz with a 4-6 dB soft boost around 8kHz matches the response of the highly acclaimed Type 4040 Hybrid Microphone.

Furthermore, the MMC4041 has an extremely low self noise of typical 7dB(A) with the MMP4000-S, as well as an enhanced SPL handling capability of up to 144dB SPL before clipping occurs.
